Kent fan ksu315, and EMU fan Five-OEagles, captured a share of the 2010 pick em title with 74 correct picks and a pick
accuracy of 77%. ksu315 did it with a great talent of knowing when to pick the road team, going 17-4 when picking the
road team to win.
Perhaps most impressive for Five-OEagles was picking Toledo to win only once all year, and it happenned to be when they
got their only win of the year, marking the first time a picker has ever went 16-0 on a particular team. Five-O had
at least 10 correct picks for each team in the MAC. In 3rd place all alone was Ohio fan Eagle66, just 1 pick behind.
In the fan standings, Eastern Michigan fans grabbed the title for the 2nd straight year with a 73% accuracy,
No other fan base was even close, with Kent finishing in 2nd at 71%. Central Michigan fans brought up the rear
correctly picking just 62% of the games.
The conference was slightly easier to predict this year than last year, with an overall
pick accruacy of 67.0% (6,568 correct picks against 3,241 incorrect picks), up from 64.2% last season.
The MAC had an exceptional home court advantage this year and it showed in the picking. When pickers chose the
home team, they were correct 72.5% of the time. When pickers went out on the limb and chose the road team, pickers
suffered with a 53.6% accuracy rate.
Toledo was the most predictable team, with a very lofty 84% accuracy, while BBall State was the toughest to predict,
with an accuracy of 53%. Kent was the most respected team in the league, with an overall predicted win percentage of 74%,
while Toledo was least respected with a predicted win percentage of 9%.
